Amud stream is one of the biggest and most beautiful streams of the upper Galilee. The valley is full with dense natural mediterranean woods and several springs allows the hikers to bath in small ponds along the path all year long.

The upper part of the stream, beeing close to the ancient city of Safed, contains orchards irrigated by traditional mountain methods as well as remnants of water powered flour mills and fulling mills, used as part of the wool industry of the jewish community of Safed.
